QUEM É ZION? WHO IS ZION ?
Se você observar meus últimos trabalhos de ilustração, vai perceber que a assinatura deles está um tanto quanto não convencional. Você vai perceber que o nome do qual eu assino meus desenhos de ilustração, não tem nenhuma relação com meu nome original. Por que, então, eu assino meus desenhos e ilustrações com outro nome?
Bom, no meio artístico é muito comum que as pessoas adotem nomes diferentes para representarem a sua forma de fazer arte. Em meu caso particular, eu criei uma assinatura com um nome artístico, porque eu não queria que as pessoas me enxergassem como o cara que sabe desenhar e ilustrar SOMENTE e EXCLUSIVAMENTE. É muito frequente que, quando você se depara com um artista de determinada área da arte, (seja ela a musica, artes visuais, dança ou qualquer que seja) você associe esse artista exclusivamente ao tipo de trabalho que ele produz. Dessa forma, nós, indiretamente, acabamos prendendo esses indivíduos em uma caixinha fechada e rotulada, como se esse artista fosse apenas capaz de produzir aquele tipo de conteúdo, e nada mais além daquilo. Pensando nisso, decidi criar esse nome artístico para mostrar uma das minhas versões, a minha versão que tem a habilidade de ilustrar, mas com o intuito de deixar meu nome real livre para se expressar artisticamente de outras formas. Além disso, eu criei essa assinatura artística para que as pessoas gostassem do meu trabalho pela qualidade e esforço nele investido, e não pela pessoa que eu sou ou pelas coisas que eu tenho.
Na realidade eu não queria que as pessoas ligassem um único tipo de conteúdo a mim, pois eu esperava que todos gostassem do conteúdo produzido e não pela pessoa que o produziu.

If you look at my latest artwork, you'll realize that their signature is somewhat unconventional. You will realize that the name of which I sign my illustration drawings has nothing to do with my original name. Why, then, do I sign my drawings and illustrations under another name?
Well, in the artistic world it is very common for people to adopt different names to represent their way of doing art. In my particular case, I created a signature with a stage name, because I did not want people to see me as the guy who can draw and illustrate ONLY and EXCLUSIVELY. It is very often that when you come across an artist of a particular area of art (be it music, visual arts, dance or whatever) you associate that artist with the type of work he produces. In this way, we indirectly ended up holding these individuals in a closed, labeled box, as if this artist were only capable of producing that kind of content, and nothing more. Thinking about it, I decided to create this stage name to show one of my versions, my version that has the ability to illustrate, but with the intention of leaving my real name free to express itself artistically in other ways. In addition, I created this artistic signature so that people would enjoy my work for the quality and effort invested in it, not for the person I am or for the things I have.
In fact, I did not want people to link a single type of content to me because I expected everyone to like the content produced and not the person who produced it
Dito isso, a próxima pergunta que vem em mente deve ser algo do tipo: '' mas, então, porque Zion?'' ou ''Mas o que significa Zion?''.
Ao pensar em um nome artístico, eu queria algo simples único e forte de se pronunciar, mas também algo inteligente que refletisse alguma ideia da qual eu acreditasse. Foi então que eu me deparei com o nome ''ZION'' (Pronuncia: ZAION), que possui na realidade dois bons significados.
Um dos significados desse nome vem de origem bíblica que traduzido para português significa SIÃO. O Sião seria um monte onde haveria uma terra prometida. Inicialmente era o nome do monte em Jerusalém no qual foi construída a cidade do rei Davi. O Monte Sião passou a designar a terra prometida ou a própria Jerusalém.O significado bíblico do nome Sião é usado em religiões como o Cristianismo, que acredita ser Sião uma terra sagrada destinada aos fiéis após o Armagedon. Esse significado, apesar de muito convincente ainda não se relacionava com o propósito por trás da minha arte.

That said, the next question that comes in mind should be something like, '' but then why Zion? '' Or '' But what does Zion mean? ''.
When I thought of a stage name, I wanted something simple and strong to pronounce, but something clever to reflect any idea I believed. It was then that I came across the name '' ZION '' (pronounced: ZAION), which actually has two good meanings.
One of the meanings of this name comes from biblical origin that translated into Portuguese means ZION. Zion would be a lot where there would be a promised land. Initially it was the name of the hill in Jerusalem in which was built the city of the king David. Mount Zion has come to designate the promised land or Jerusalem itself. The biblical meaning of the name Zion is used in religions such as Christianity, which Zion believes to be a sacred land destined for the faithful after Armageddon. This meaning, though very convincing, was not yet related to the purpose behind my art.
Entretanto, para o cinéfilos de plantão, que conhecem bastante desse universo, já devem ter matado a charada, pois Zion é também o nome da cidade fictícia do filme Matrix. Zion seria a última cidade humana no planeta Terra, com milhares de seres humanos adormecidos, cultivados por máquinas conscientes e presos ao mundo virtual chamado Matrix. Há uma interminável guerra entre humanos e máquinas e formas de vida artificiais que tentam proteger o segredo da Matrix. A missão dos tripulantes é proteger a cidade de Zion e libertar os seres humanos da Matrix.
Bom, eu acredito que não há filme com a temática mais atual e presente nos dias de hoje quanto o filme matrix, pois ele explora a dependência maquina-humana, e Zion aparece como uma cidade real onde os Humanos se protegem e tentam se salvar da Realidade virtual. Diante disso, eu percebi que esse nome, segundo esse significado, tem muito mais relação com meu conteúdo do que o primeiro, pois o que é mais libertador de nossas realidades virtuais do que a própria arte ?!
Diante disso, eu espero que todos tenham entendido o motivo de eu escolher um nome artístico para minhas assinaturas, e espero também que tenham encontrado lógica no significado que esse nome transmite e da relação dele com meu trabalho artístico.

However, for the moviegoers who know a lot about this universe, they must have killed the riddle, because Zion is also the name of the fictional city of the movie Matrix. Zion would be the last human city on planet Earth, with thousands of dormant humans, cultivated by conscious machines and trapped in the virtual world called the Matrix. There is an endless war between humans and machines and artificial life forms that try to protect the secret of the Matrix. The mission of the crew is to protect the city of Zion and free the humans from the Matrix.
Well, I believe that there is no film with the most current theme present today as the matrix movie, because it explores the human-machine dependency, and Zion appears as a real city where Humans protect themselves and try to save themselves from Virtual reality. Given this, I realized that this name, according to this meaning, has much more relation to my content than the first, because what is more liberating of our virtual realities than art itself?
Well, in the face of everything that has been said, I hope that everyone has understood the reason for me to choose an artistic name for my signatures, and I also hope that they have found logic in the meaning that this name conveys and in its relation to my artwork.
